“True Companion Care has been helping my mother for about five years now.  I really don’t know what we would have done without them.  They have been friends as well as caregivers.  They are caring, kind, dependable, understanding, and always willing to do what  it takes to make sure my mother has the help she needs.  Because I do not live near Annapolis, Carol lets me know how my mother is doing and she will make informed suggestions that have really helped me make decisions about Mom’s care as she ages. They provide company, help with her daily tasks, make sure she has her supplies, and they get her out for a change of scene….all the things I might do if I were there.  It is one of the best things I ever did to help my mother.” Elizabeth L.

“6 years have gone by since our dad’s death, but Mom often thought it was just a few months ago.  Moderate-severe dementia stole her memory but not her passion for independence in the home they shared together.  Sue, Jill, and Krystal would spend a few hours each day with the ADL’s she needed cueing help as well as gardening, games, driving, etc.  Mom always told me her friends stopped by and they had a wonderful visit.   As a Registered Nurse, I value communication and realistic goals. True Companion Care staff are honest, empathetic and gentle with my strong willed mother.  I never had to worry about staff reliability.  The difficult decision to transition into assisted living care became somewhat easier because of Carol’s expert knowledge and personal experience.” Martie M.

“When my mom got sick, I had no idea what to do. I needed somebody to help me with her care. Somebody to share with “keeping an eye” on her. I called True Companion Care and Carol was there in a snap. I couldn’t have been more grateful/relieved that I didn’t have to do this all by myself. True Companion Care came a few times a week to help get my Mom started with her day… helping her with getting dressed, making breakfast, laundry, etc. My Mom made a True friend with her Companion…no pun. I highly recommend them!” Laurie F.

“True Companion Care came to our rescue when our 90-year-old parents needed in home care. The Caregivers treated my parents with kindness and compassion. My parents always looked forward to their visits. I would highly recommend this company.” Karen F.

“Carol and her staff were incredibly caring, knowledgeable and helpful during a difficult time in our family. Not only did they provide excellent in-home assistance for my grandmother, but were also extremely helpful in passing along resources that helped us navigate her transition into assisted living.  I don’t know what we would have done without their help!” Angie M.

“I developed late-stage Lyme disease and was unable to work or perform many physical and organizational tasks over the past year. I found Carol through a friend, and she has been a godsend. Not only did she help me get back on my feet in the early days when I was physically unable to take care of basic tasks and errands, she also helps me organize the overwhelming practical matters that have piled up over the months (such as mail!). She’s overhauled my filing system and helped me register for programs online. My household runs better and she’s helped me clear the ‘cobwebs’ from my brain and gotten me moving again.
Much more than that, Carol has become a true friend, someone I look forward to seeing, talking with, laughing with. She makes the hard days easier and the tasks we do on the good days fly by. I don’t think I would be as well as I am now without her.”

Dear Carol,
Thank you so much for your warm, personable and professional care of Martha during Kathryn’s wedding weekend. We were all able to relax and focus on wedding events, knowing you were in charge of helping her. And Martha thought you were wonderful!

“True Companion Care provided outstanding personal service. Carol and Brooke took pride in giving the best possible care for both me and my mother. On her own initiative, Carol identified things around the house to change that would make our daily lives much easier – things that I hadn’t even thought of, and I’m a very organized person.
Having Carol and Brooke here enabled me to focus on recovering from my surgery while they cared for my elderly mother. I recommend them without reservation and will definitely use their services again.”

“The simple truth is: you will be very hard-pressed to find a company that rises to the level of loving and compassionate care provided by Carol Gibson and her staff. In fact, we feel like they have adopted our family and have created for our mother a stimulating and wonderfully nurturing environment in which she feels comfortable and unafraid while approaching her 95th year. We are so fortunate to have found them!”

“Since our father died, my family has needed help ensuring that our mother, who is now living alone in her home after 67 years of marriage, receives regular, caring companionship, as well as assistance with meal preparation and shopping. Carol has been an invaluable person to our family. She’s capable and responsible and trustworthy, and I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone seeking the caregiving services she provides.” Ray B.
